Guest Relations at Spesso – Calle Ericsson

How did you end up at Spesso?
It was actually in the process before the pandemic, I was supposed to start working here back then, so here we are, after several years of waiting and a few detours, I’m finally at Spesso and it feels both long-awaited and perfectly timed.

What do you see for the future?
I’m really looking forward to being part of Spesso’s continued development and to diving into the upcoming season. Summer at Spesso is, in my opinion, the obvious choice for anyone seeking a memorable experience with a stunning view and great vibes no matter the weather. There’s always something happening here, seven days a week from morning until night.

The job
I work with guest relations at Spesso, a line of work that’s probably as old as humanity itself. What I like with my work is that hospitality offers guests a home away from home.

Background
I grew up on Södermalm but live closer to the city centre these days. I’m 43, and Bajen is still the only name that matters in football. I used to have a whole lineup of aquariums but now I share my home with a cat named Theodor. In the summer, I grow chili and other things out on the balcony. Beyond football, I’ve got a deep love for the NHL.

Days off
I like my days off quiet. A solo stroll through Stockholm, no rush, no plan. Sometimes I meet my dad for lunch, it’s a nice little ritual.

If I had another job
I wish I had a better head for studying. Biology was an early interest in school. Hopefully, I would’ve worked with something in that field. Surveying a stream or doing fieldwork in the forest sounds like music to my ears.

Favorite dish
I like food that’s very simple. I enjoy baked cod loin with boiled potatoes and lemon sauce.

Favorite drink
A classic Gin & Tonic.

Something you didn’t know about me
I have a tame squirrel named goliath, who has lived on my balcony for over two years and even built a nest there. It actually got so much attention that östermalmsnytt wrote a piece about it.
